Glass Fiber Politef

What Is Glass Fiber Politef?

Glass-fiber-filled PTFE is a composite material created by adding glass fiber to a PTFE matrix. This combination brings together PTFE's low friction, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation with the strength and durability of glass fiber.

Main Properties:

Improved mechanical strength.

Higher durability and longer service life.

Better thermal behavior.

Increased high-temperature resistance.

Lightweight structure with higher rigidity and hardness.

This material is commonly used in bearings, seals, sliding bearings, gear systems, and various industrial equipment where high strength, low friction, and chemical resistance are required.

15% and 25% glass-fiber PTFE grades offer lower thermal expansion, higher wear resistance, and less deformation under load than pure PTFE.
